As my bike is now packed away.
I need to get a battery charger. Optimate or Oximiser ??
Or is there a alternative ?

I used an Optimate 3 for years, but for the first couple of years, my old Aprilia still seemed to destroy batteries. About 6 months before a battery would start seeming weak. I blamed the alarm (well, everyone said alarms kill batteries).
But I eventually discovered that the Optimate extension lead, which was attached permanently to the bike, was faulty. Replaced it and the next battery was still on the bike when I sold it 5 years later, still as strong as ever.
I continued to use the Optimate on the Boxer up to last week. So about 6 years good service. I used to put the charger on only if I hadn't started the bike for a couple of weeks.
But I've now got an Oxford solar charger (Solariser) that sits in a pouch in the bike cover and tops up the battery during daylight hours. It'll probably pay for itself in 20 or 30 years
Too early to make a judgement on the Oxford.
