The problem with Mitchelin

Pilot road 2 is that the damn tyres last so long. I would like to try some different rubber.

Recommended product, definitely. I still have the receipt, will have to check how long it's been on the bike.

+1 on the pic!

When I went from PR2s to PR3s on my 12S, the improvement was amazing! I've had them fitted to every bike I've owned since...

To be fair, unless they were new(ish) PR2s that you took off - the real difference is going from worn, to new tyres...........

I can't say the 3s are a huge leap forward - merely an incremental development.....

Al :)
If I am ever on life support - Unplug me......
Then plug me back in..........

See if that works .....

True.

I can't quite remember how many miles I did on the PR2s TBH...

They where well past the legal limit when I changed them, but I'm sure I had the bike a year when I took it in for a service and tyre change, so at least 3k miles (I had two bikes at the time).

I'm just trying to decide if I should try PR4s on the GT or stick with the PR3s that I really get on with...

The PR4 has got a harder compound for the heavier touring bikes so I'll get those fitted if I own a heavy touring bike.

I'd stick with the 3s, Steve (in fact - if there were 2s going cheap - I'd be tempted)

Al :D
