Just seen this on ebay. Were these just a repainted dealers special? Looks like Mamola BCR wheels and Replika white clocks have been fitted to one of the slower single sparks to me

Dealers' specials, to ride on the success of a team in the boxercup race series.
Some say they are collectible, some love the looks.
I've always thought they look a bit shonky.
There's more info on this site about them

Thanks for that. I agree it does look a bit shonky. Belly pans looks an ok design though

I like the 'trick suspension' and the 'very very quick' bits myself.

There was one of the raced ones - for sale at the 2009 Scottish Bike Show
(which, strangely - has Twinspark covers??)
Brave man who took a chance on that one..............

Now that looks nice, and not a replica but the real thing
Im sure the twin spark covers will bolt right onto the single spark having held a TS cover up to my single spark gs. Maybe the originals were ground away racing.

Was that not Richard Cooper's bike? Turned up at the BMW club track day this past August along with a powercup K1200R. All owned by BMW of course.

Is it one of the 'specials' that BMW GB lashed up? I think this may have been before the factory got their finger out, but I stand to be corrected on that. Here's a link to a press release about it. I can't see a date, but I'm sure someone here knows a bit more than I do:

Says only 25 were produced.

good link above, thanks. I wish mine had a black engine, they are a vastly superior finish to the silver ones.
Guess that makes it the rarest R1100S then
