extended gear lever

I've just fitted the Verholen kit to lower my pegs on the R1100RS, feels great but getting my foot under the gear lever is a bit tight. I've seen extended levers advertised in the US but not found UK ones, the other option is a push-fit extender over the end piece (much cheaper). Has nayone tried these?
