H7 lamps. Numpty question

Post by f90x »

All H7 lamps are the same I guess. If I get one for a car it will fit my bike?

Cheers. I thought so and bought one. Having never had to change one I wasn't certain. Just wanted a spare for Europe. Was sure I bought one for my last trip but can't find it

Careful if and when changing it as the design wasn't one of BMWs finest moments. Minelow beam went at the TT this year and when changing it something small and plastic that holds in the wire spring broke :x Went to the one and only main stealer who said oh yes they all do that, cant be fixed as no part is available and you need a new headlight unit
I went to the nearest skip ,got a small bit of cardboard and taped it to the back of the bulb (ensuring it didn't get too hot) and wedged it together with the plastic door/cover.
Hubby did some kind of modification when I got home and its ok again. 8)
