Bought a cheap 1100S and the final drive bearing is pretty rough so needs replacing. Wondering about putting a GS final drive on to shorten the gearing. I know it has been done before but can't seem to find anything about it now. Has anyone here done it? What are your thoughts on it?
I remember reading something about it on here, although i think it was a final drive rebuild using the crown wheel from another model.
I'm sure someone will be more knowledgeable and provide the answers
