I have a starter cover with the jump lead post fitted that I want to fit onto my 'Cup, does the plastic cover just pop off or is it bolted down ?

job done, that's not a bolt it's a total <*&^!"£ !!!!!! Not helped by my Cup having the twin exhaust design of the fitted Remus as of course two pipes take more space than one
But it's on and working

I decided that hidden bolt behind the cover was more trouble than it is worth. The cover is held quite well on the peg that locates in the rubber bung and its own shape hugs the mounting area. So now there is no more hidden bolt on mine, just this self tapper:
Oyster. 1999 R1100S. Almost original.
