Pulled, but left with a smile

Had to go into town to visit DVLA so wanted to be there at 0900,…. And got pulled over by the police,

“Routine vehicle check sir” . “Do you have your licence?”
“How old is this motorcycle?”
“New in April.” Says I.
“I’m not familiar with the model”
“Diavel” says I.
“What size is the engine?”
“1198cc, 162 bhp” says I ….”Quickest thing in Aberdeen to 70 mph, where it is safe to do so.” Says I.
“Biggest bike tyre I have seen, and good looking Brembo brakes. Well, everything seems to be in order Sir. Take Care”

As I departed I received a very cute smile and wave from the attractive assistant Lady policeman.

A very pleasant start to the day.

My last encounter with plod went like this

Plod - do you know why we stopped you

Me - Speed

Plod - Yep, we've been following you for the last two miles and you were averaging about 90mph (70 limit), In fact there were a couple of times when we lost sight of you when it wouldn't surprise me if you went over the ton

Me - Stunned silence

Plod - Having a good look around my bike while colleague sits in car on the radio

Me - Sweating like a pig

Plod - calls to his colleague "all OK"
Colleague nods head.

Me - Could you put me out of my misery and tell me what's going to happen.

Plod - See this (pointing to my mirror)

Me - yes

Plod - in future I suggest you use these and you'll see us next time.
(Walks back to car, drives off).

Me - ride off thinking what nice people plod are
