Was the BCR a limited run from BMW? Specifically the Randy Mamola version, as the later red/white/blue paint job is hideous, so that doesn't count
When I was looking for mine I saw a replica, 'replica' where a standard 1100 had been made to look like the Mamola rep. The seller claimed it was cheaper to insure than the real thing as well?? I see the American's boxer cups were numbered and a little certificate handed out.
Just wondering if the BCR is destined to become a collectable classic or not.

I think so but only when it has been completely forgotten about, say after hell freezes over
Fiat Panda.
Fiat Scudo (with speedblock, pipe carrier, reversing sensors, reversing camera, tow bar, some new rust and Fake Plumber logo)
started out with nothing, still have most of it left.

But - they are hideous!
I wouldn't buy a slack-handful of BCRs (of any year) in lieu of krugerrands or pork-belly futures - to be honest........
