Matching springs

Post by grumpytwin »

What is the considered opinion on matching springs both ends? I am about to stick a Nitron NTR shock on the back of my 06 25k R1200ST...my old R1100S was in Sport spec. so had 'sport' shocks back and front. As the ST has zero adjustment at the front (mine is non-ESA) should I change the front shock and damn the expense? Not that I have found one listed anywhere...

Personally I wouldn't bother unless you really feel it needs it 'or' you can afford to do it without feeling the expense. I ran my 1100s with a standard front and rear ohlins and many others have a similar scenario.
