Hello Steve
Thanks for asking, not too bad really. 3 broken ribs ( only hurts when I laugh...or don`t) and some muscle damage according to a rather striking nurse today..

ouch.. all repairable in time.
Daytona is non too pretty and Auntie Carole is picking her up Thursday for a look see.
I don`t know what to say really, first of all apologies to anyone the victim of some rather poor overtakes in the first hour, I`ve never ridden so bad in all my time on a bike, I still don`t know why.
I said to Greg before we set out, " just a quiet bimble today", I knew I hadn`t ridden for months, the bike was new to me and I disliked the tyres, I ran wide on four occasions in the first hour, all the warning signs were there and I still insisted on `pushing on` a bit.......
Thanks to those who offered a kind word, and special thanks to Greg ( DT) who stuck by me, travelled off to make calls where a signal was available, bought lunch and drinks and generally was an all round top bloke, my best friend since we were spotty teens and at times like these you find out why. I wrecked my bike and his day and he was just cool about it. Top man..
I`am glad you all had a good day, I like boxertrix days out and who knows maybe see you in Hawes, if I have a bike, should have kept the CBR?, we had some fun last year when I was on that Mr. Parry!
Cheers

Good to hear from you, I was getting a bit perturbed at the silence.
If it's any consolation that junction once nearly caught me out and I'm local to it. There's a lot going on there too with often loose chippings, the cattle grid, junction, change of direction and often other vehicles. Plus it comes after a section that's a good making progress bit.

Are we talking about that rather lovely blue framed 675 I admired so much at the Caernarfon stop by any chance?

Thanks Steve, that is some consolation, I`am not sure I believe you but your very kind....
Thanks Dave, I was looking forward to having a pint later with you and your Bruv. such is life......when were you thinking of changing the Falco..

..
Nick, mine was not the 675, just as well!, mine was the old black 955, which looks rather sad at the moment and more muddy brown ( not from myself I hasten to add) than black.
cheers lads

OK Steve. I was talking to the bloke on the 675 at the Caernarfon 'stop'. Next year i think we should have a group photo so as we know who's who.

I'm not 'up to speed'

on what happened but I take it you were unfortunate enough to have an 'off'. Sorry to hear it mate. BTW, Just where was this corner? (Can somebody post a 'Google Earth' location?) If it's the one I think it is your lucky your not sharing a hospital ward with me and a few other Trixters as well.
