embedding a youtube link in a thread???

Just a quick one I can add a link to a youtube page but I can't work out how to put a link where it shows the actual still of the video with the play button in the threads. (I hope you understand what I am trying to explain!!)

I have tries using the embed link but it still doesn't work........I know I'm thick anybody assist??
