Hello.
Thought I'd swing past and say hi.
Put a deposit down on a R1100s. I had one ages ago and sold it in 2006. Had a succession of faster stuff bit missed the old boxer. A recent change of job and crap commute mwant I needed some non glamorous wheels for getting to work.
I seem to be well on the way to owning 3 bikes. Whoops.
CB 500. Needs commisioning after being stored.
Daytona 955i. As above really. In mid fettle now.
R1100 to follow next week.
Anyhoo. Thought I'd say hi and look forward to sharing my experinces.

Welcome conkerman, three interesting and different bikes...
Hi Grip Fast, I cannot recommend 955i`s enough, totally lovely bike, I`ve had a few bikes over the past years ( Jap single, twins, straight and V-fours, flat twins and V twins ) and always seem to find myself back on a Daytona, my current Daytona, my fourth..
..
is an 03 plate.
future classic, most definately, but be very carefull which one you buy, there are five types of 955i, and not all of them will be classic`s.

Thanks all.
It is an odd collection.
The 955i is a lovely bike, 1 previous owner (a mate).
Was in storage for a couple of years and was running like a crock. Mate got fed up and bought a S1000rr.
I bought the Daytona, sat in my garage for a year. Bike wa s suffering from a really bad lean stumble due to a combination of fuel filter and blocked injectors. Now much better and I just need to dive in and check the clearances etc as its all off. Will keep this for fun days. Its a 2001 reg, but the last of the initial SSSA models.
CB 500 was bought from a lady at work, 4200 miles since new. Been standing since 2008. Basic service done. Need to change a fork seal. Will probably whip the carbs out and give them a once over due to the time the bike was standing. Will be MOT'D and sold. Found a set of restrictors under the seat.
Arranging to pick up the R1100 next weekend. Tatty but cheap. Let's see if it turns out to be a bargain or money pit.
