R1100S (1999) - front discs

I need new front discs. The originals were 4.5 mm thick. I have been offered new pattern ones which are 5 mm thick. I appreciate that is very close but will they fit with new pads if necessary?

When I reconditioned my calipers there was enough room with fresh pads for the caliper to rattle about the disc freely, so I'd say yes. I'd take the opportunity to put new seals in & clean the pistons if I were you, then you will at least not force any crud past old ones to make room.
