I changed the oil on my 1200S yesterday and slightly overfilled it.The oil window is totally covered but I know I only put in a little bit too much.Shall I crack open the crankcase plug and let the extra oil out?
Thanks

tip the bike over slightly to get an idea of how much, if it's like you say just a couple of mm over it'll probably be ok I guess, if it's more than two or 3 mm I'd loosen the drain and let a little out

If it still shows that it's overfilled when warm i would drain some out if it shows the correct level when warm then all is good
It will take a couple of minutes to fill the oil cooler and also for the cooler to drain this often confuses people when changing oil on the boxers

If it's only slightly overfilled..........pull off the oil filter and drain that............I think it holds about 200cc's.
Have you ever tried to put a drain plug back in while the oil is draining???
Good luck!

Suck some out with a syringe and a piece of thin tubing.
I use 6mm od/4m id nylon pneumatic hose

Can you get to the sump through the filler hole?

Not on this model..........the tubing will only get you into the left rocker cover.
Cheers
