Shock Rebuild.
Hi all,
Time for a well overdue service and rebuild on the Ohlins on my 12s, I'm leaning towards using these people http://www.reactivesuspension.com/aboutus.php
Anyone used them or have any other recommendations in the Yorkshire area.
Peter.

I dropped my 12s off to get the Ohlins overhalled today. I've used Revs of Halesowen. I came across them when I had an Aprilia and got an eBay shock serviced before fitting.
I'm looking forward to having a transformed bike. I've been trying to dial out the low speed harshness all year but without success so hope they can sort it.
Certainly amazingly friendly and welcoming and even drove me to the station for my train home.
We should compare notes.

I'll have a look and see if I can find the bill for the rebuild at Revs. It was a couple of years ago it was done. I can't remember the price but it seemed worth buying used from eBay and getting it reconditioned, over buying new.
Yes you can sent it to them and they'll post it back.
I haven't asked what they're going to charge me for the 12s suspension overhaul, but I've been lucky to have a lot of overtime recently so what the heck. I want it sorted. I'll let you know in a week when it's done.

Just had a pair of Wilbers refurbed with new bushes top and bottom on the rear and a replacment top stud on the front. New rear spring
cost was a shade under £300 shipped.
Revs are certainly a good bunch to deal with and quick.
If you give them your riding weights they'll check the spring rate is correct for you, that's what was evading my ideall set up which they sorted for me.

I sent mine to KAIS in Bolton http://www.kais-performance.com/suspension.htm great service and a pretty quick turn around even though it was the week before the TT and they were very busy.

I can't remember the price, but I can remember thinking it was okay.
That's how it is when you're old.
I only remember his name by thinking 'it's not Wayne Doohan'.
He is a nice chap though, I always remember that bit, funny really. Ring him up, he'll give you a price.

'Hinterachsge' translates as 'rear axle'.(Not 'Differential', so f*** off)
