You have ABS and the sensor for speed - is waterlogged.

Don't give up after a week.

I once stupidly drowned a K100 under a pressure washer and given time it sorted itself out. Have never been so dumb since.

I also dropped a Blackberry phone in a toilet and after a week sitting on top of a radiator it lives on.

A mate also rode his GS750 Suzuki through a proper flood and a it died. A good week later it lived again, my KE175 Kawasaki enjoyed the flood and I rode it home the same day...

Hang on, trace the cable from the sensor up behind the rear panel, thats where most of the problems used to be, on the plug.

Been onto BMW at Grimbsy...they can put my bike on the diagnostic tester for a price of £90 approx but cannot guarantee any hope of finding the fault because of the age of my bike..apparently they might not have the revalent software..... :? Does anyone know of a place near Lincoln that they can recommend ? :?

Panels off, and work your way through all connections........Breaking each

Spray WD40 into every connection

Allocate 4 hrs to it, and don't get fed up.

Try again before returning panels.....?

My clock stopped working a while ago, took a while to find that a pin had corroded off in a junction in the box on the right side that contains the connections. when I pulled the junction apart it all seemed well as the corroded pin was stuck in the female part. Just a lil bit of gunk in the bottom of the male connection. Still to fix it.
