A while ago I posted that my clock was not working. Previous investigation showed this wasn't down to the usual, wires chafing at the relay box
Well I've got to the root of the problem. the clock is connected via the blue multipin connector in the R/H relay box with red/white and brown wires feeding the power and the pin on the male side of the R/W has snapped and is still in the connector
I had to cut the r/w wire where it entered the two sides of the multiplug and solder on a spade connector, throw in a little heat shrink.... job done
I can only surmise this had occurred due to damp corroding the pin which snapped when then plug was released. There was evidence of corrosion in inside the plug and a thorough clean and lube will hopefully prevent reoccurence
Funny that!
Mine started playing up about a couple of months ago.Went dead for ages until a couple of days ago.Its been acting mental eversince.
Will check block conector as last time i looked there was no evidence of chaffing.
