The dry side presumably? Here in sunny (today) Warks it's pretty soggy and the valley below us is flooded yet again.

I have to say I'm beginning to like the GS - it bimbled home quite happily last night through the deluge & various lakes & rivers down the road (including the M40 :D ). Got home soaked but grinning like a loon...

Visiting the Malvern area this week (by car) and seen some serious rain. Friday promised wall-to-wall sunshine so took the opportunity to walk the Malvern hills. Beautiful, stunning scenery!

By mid afternoon we were watching a huge deluge slide menacingly to the north west of us; close enough to feel a bit of moisture from it. There was a similar one behind it and with luck, it would take a similar route (though we felt for anyone caught in it).

Decided to do one more peak before returning to base. Well, the rain took a slightly different path and came over the hills. Never, never, never leave your waterproofs in the car when the BBC forecast promises a full day of sunshine.

We don't think we have ever been more thoroughly soaked; through to the skin and boots full of water. It was serious, proper wet rain. But strangely, it didn't spoil our day and we will be back to complete the Malvern hills walk. Brilliant!

Will it ever stop i have new cement sheets on the garage roof and they are waterlogged water is dripping onto all the electrics, [quick duck oil soaking for everything in there so all should be good,]

Just hoping it dosent freeze now i feel that will ruin the cement sheets

As i said my sympathy's go out to all affected

Sympathy indeed :( Water is a *^@*
We've been flooded out twice in the last three years, still dealing with the effects now, It's an old farm cottage, and the stonework still seems to be oozing water since last November. Purely been down to the amount of rainwater soaking the ground, then running off the fields around us, We're not even on the flat or near a river
Keeping my eyes on the weather forecast as the land around us is saturated once again, Don't fancy wearing my wellies indoors again...........
