Mr. Spock is my role model so be advised; I possess no (discernible) sense of humour.
It's all VFR (DCT) round here now. STILL missing my 1100s tho.

I have to admit my German speaking abilities are challenged by this just how is it supposed to work. I assume it replaces your sump plug and the you just undo the hand tight cover and the oil pi**es out. Or if you can get the pipe on quick enough it don't or is it actually llike the Harley system where you just unclamp the pipe from a fixed bung and the OIL PI**ES OUT ? Either way I don't like the thought of the oil Pi**ing out unless I have laid a spanner, hex key or torx key on the sump plug stcky out pipes and trickery have a habit of coming off or undone.
There would appear to be a surfeit of prolixity and sesquipedalian content today please do not use a big word when a singularly un-loquacious and diminutive linguistic expression will satisfactorily accomplish the contemporary necessity

As I understand it, you're meant to fit it at the next oil change and after that the part (on the right) stays on the bike permanently. Subsequent oil changes just involve uscrewing the knurled cap and screwing in the 'quick release' part (on the left in the pic') 'till oil starts to flow out. Since it is a 'quick-release' connection it looks a though, even if the knurled cap was to fall off (whilst out riding?), no oil would be lost. I like it.
I'll ask Santa for one 'cos unlike Dai, I find oil changes a hot, messy chore.

I love the last line, "change oil without tools". Where's the fun in that??
Neat idea if you are changing oil frequently but doesn't solve the problem of removing the filter without getting oil all over your hands and the floor. Now if they could solve that problem they'ed be on a winner
A gadget for gadgets sake. Think I'll keep the £ in my pocket.

I think they call it "progress"...Neat idea if you are changing oil frequently but doesn't solve the problem of removing the filter without getting oil all over your hands and the floor. Which part are you stunned at?. The part where he has an opinion? Or the fact he didn't talk about skinning a puppy and making cosy muffs out of the skin?

The thing I would be concerned about on our bikes is how low this hangs down.
Especially dangerous on a GS used off road!
Cheers
