Nearly back on the road

After a year of life getting in the way of just about everything
'Claudia' (Timbox's) old steed is nearly back on the road.
She started first press of the button with no choke, and just needs "The legals" and a set of tyres taken care of and all will be right with the world.
I've missed my bike massively and with a bit of luck and a following wind I'll catch up with some of you boxertrix regulars next year...

Ahh, wondered where the old girl was, glad shes still going mate, I do miss the old boxer sometimes, especially around service time, this K13 costs ridiculous amounts to run

Al, is it girlie names in particular or just names in general?
Have for example, you given yours a male name..
..on a Monday morning do you proudly say, "I`ve just had a great weekend riding the pants off `Butch`"..

"I'm taking the bike out"
"Out for a run on the bike"
"Shit! - the bike's got a puncture"

Seems a daft sort of thing to get bristley (you know, irksome) about.......................but I'm 100% with you on this one
Sat navs, on the other hand, can be a girly as you like

Bikes/cars/boats are all girls as they all enjoy a good thrashing.
I hate any sat nav that talks to me or bleeps. Gets in the way of that glorious thunderous tractor noise

Aye, got it!.....
To say the bike has a puncture suggests a ruined day out, to say " Claudia has a puncture", tends to hint at a ruined night in and frustration all round..

lighthearted poke (or so I thought) at people who refer to their bikes in feminine terms. FWIW, I agree with him, though I don't always
There was a contributer on here a few weeks back who posted a picture of his recently aquired 1100RT. It looked a really nice bike, and I commented as such, but his decription of it as 'she' this, I've given 'her' that and the 'old girl' this, left me feeling a bit, I don't know, it's just not my sort of thing. It's nothing I want to fall out over, but to me, they're just bikes, and a good number of them are very nice bikes
And before anyone starts commenting about other people having opinions, yes of course they do, it's a
Forum, and that's what it's for.
