Fitting Odyssey battery to R1200S

Post by exoticices »

I've just changed the battery in my R12S to a new Odyssey. It only took just over an hour(!) and was a source of constant amusement and traditional Anglo-Saxon vocabulary.

It all appears to have gone OK but the metal retaining strap doesn't fit anymore due to the wider Odyssey. I'm wondering what people have done to secure their Odyssey in place?
