I fitted a set of these some months ago. They are small enough to fit in the same space occupied by the aneamic OE fitment but they are really loud. They even come with a relay. They were twice this price then. I recon this is amazing value. GET SUM

Got mine on there too. These are just SO loud and sound 'quality'; Just like my mates new Jag. But of course, usualy, by the time I've found the horn button on the 11s the reason to use them has past, so instead of making some erant fellow road user aware of my presence they end up being just a very satisfying way of anouncing my frustration to the world and his dog.

Mr. Spock is my role model so be advised; I possess no (discernible) sense of humour.
It's all VFR (DCT) round here now. STILL missing my 1100s tho.
Do you need the relay or is it as i expect fine without
The only time mine has been used in the last four years has been once to test it and three times for MOT's from what i can remember mine's quite loud anyway

The original horn is embarrasing to use, as I found out in the Alps last year when ackowledging drivers for pulling over on the passes......meep, meep
I fitted a Stebel Nautilus to mine with a relay and it sounds sooooooo much better. The general consensus seems to be that a direct power feed with relay is required as the Stebel pulls more amps than the standard horn although I know some have fitted them without. Hardest part was finding somewhere to fit the relay.
If your current horn is 'quite loud' then you probably already have an upgraded horn.
Lots of previous threads on here with loads of info.

If fitting one Stebel Magnum then it'll work without a relay, if you want two or a Stebel Nautilus then you'd need a relay, even one tho' sounds more "BMW" ... perhaps I was spoilt by the standard twin Fiamms on my K100RS's

I would like to carry out this mod but am reticent about delving into the black art of electrics and blowing up me and the bike. Is it an easy fitment, wiring diagram, how did you mount the relay? Any pointers would be appreciated.
I had a stebel nautilus that eventually failed after a few years (heavy use!) and replaced it with a new one from nippy normans.
First time out and heading down the motorway i used it and it lasted about 5 seconds before the rotary part dislodged itself, seized the motor and took the fuse with it. I put in a call to NN and returned it under warranty and he swapped it out... no quibble.
The replacement one has be ok so far (touch wood) - albeit a bit quieter?
Its a bit of a tight squeeze fitting it but well worth it.
