Just an enquiry, who has ever put in a FOI request to their local Council? then got sidetracked and looked at other requests? how popular is Chief Executive,.... remuneration package , severence package, expenses, stress leave. We have had four years of absolute assholes in the post up here in the Borders, kin` ell, total wxnkers! who are the nobbers who agree their employment?? Corrupt bxstxrds one and all! I daresn`t look into the Lothian and Borders Constabulary FOI page

Public sector chiefs are stiffing us big style.

They're all self fulfilling boys clubs as are the host of quangos they spawn. Here in North Wales they're mostly comprised of people who own building firms. That allows them to give one another council contracts and planning permissions.

Where I work there are a few councillors (out of many) who are in it for the right reasons, the rest seem to be either in it to have a go at someone or feather their own nests.

I get the odd freedom of information request but they are mainly sent by conspiracy theorists who seem to believe that anyone who works for a council is on the make.

We also get the ones who need to know if we poisoned their dog with our weedkillers (I work in parks)...

I would not go as far as to say all public sector workers have their noses in the trough, or all councillors are in it for easy money (some still do it out of a sense of civic duty) but the ones in the Scottish Borders Council are a bunch of reiving so and so`s. It is unfit for purpose. The latest up here is that SBC have been fined 250k for improper disposal of records, err not actually the morons who allowed this to happen but me a good ratepayer, where is the sense in that?? The criminal does not get punished but the victim does!! I would happily see these faceless "PLEBS" doing a bit of community service.. without wages or expenses, continental hours, putting practise in the office of a Friday morning.... Aaaaggggh. Bunch of self serving Losers T DAN SMITH has certainly left a good legacy up North.

Please note i was not having a go at councill employe's but the councillors
M,P,'s E,M,P,'s and Government etc.
