ABS Fluid Change - How difficult?

The brake fluid on my R11s is due for change. I'm reasonably handy on the tools, have got the Haynes manual and the BMW maintenance manual, however Haynes warns that ABS bikes should be serviced by a dealer.
Should I be scared off, is it really that tricky?
The manual also recommends using a pressurised kit? Is this necessary or will the servo-assist do the job?
Would appreciate any advice

Loads of info on here. Use the search function.
Its a fairly long winded job involving lifting the tank and you need to follow the sequence for bleeding the 6 bleed screws on the ABS unit. There is a crackin step by step guide by someone on UKGs'er. If you can't find a link on the site drop me a PM and I'll email you a copy.

If you follow the bleeding sequence you should be ok, there are the control circuits that are bleed using the levers (hand & foot brake)
and Calipers that are bleed using the servo pump, the only problem you may have is keeping the ABS unit filled with fluid wail your bleeding
the caliper circuits so keep an eye on the level, its best to have a funnel like they have in the link.
Have a look at the link, it may help.

Or......you could take it to RGM (Roy Gardener) in Croston
Well, that's what I'd do

If you have servo ABS it means all the fairing and tank have to be removed, and a set procedure has to be followed -
if you only have normal abs no fairing parts have to be removed and you can bleed in the normal way.
