Hi all
just fitted a verholen paralever arm to my bike(thankyou mr C),so i went for a quick blast around some of my local twisties.
BLOODY HELL!
What a difference.
Why didnt i do this sooner.
Anyway it got a bit hairy with the wind and rain so called it a night.
No longer will i have to wrestle the bleeder around corners.

I got it secondhand.
New ones are i think about £160.
Easy fitting, especially with a extra pair of hands and a stand.Which you now have!

ps you have a 365 mm arm on yours anyway dont you?

Hi gus
been looking at upgrading my shocks on my BCR mamola various to choose from how much better is your bike with the shorter arm on as if this does the trick then could be a cheaper option than spending a lot of money on shocks

The adjustable arm gives you the opportunity to jack up the back end (careful those of short inside leg) and thereby quicken the steering by steepening the rake of the front forks.
Nothing will transform the handling as much as a decent set of shocks well set up

Steve,

Get yourself a set of Wilber Racing shocks, see the difference, feel the difference (now where did I hear that from).

Honestly, changing the suspension will improve a, already good handling bike.

The rest will be down to the way you ride it. Are you the Steve off to Flash's in May.

Hi Steve

The voice of decent here!!!,the S in stock trim steers like a barn door and two up even worse, changeing shock(s) will make it feel better,it sure as hell won't make it steer any quicker, unless when you go for an aftermarket shock(rear) make it a long one and leave the front standard.

Don't believe me?? Gus's supension is absolutley bolloxed!!! at the back and all he's(we've) done is put a Verholen arm on and jacked the back up,and look at his posting and see what a difference it's made, you can put any pair of shocks you like on but without raiseing the back you ain't going anywhere steering wise.

Steve you will already have a short arm on yours,so you have been experiencing what i was missing.Quicker steering! After market shocks are the way to go to complete the package. And boy do i need some!

Hi Steve

You can still make an improvement because what Gus is exsperienceing is haveing a rear end as high as yours but a standard front shock,so his is steering shit loads quicker than yours, when I put my spec down for what we've put on our bikes,i mentioned I've been through 3 different set ups.

Standard shocks,BM sport shocks (steers vertually the same just higher of the ground),BM rear sport(318mm old length)OK two up but one up the tranny didn't like it) and standard front,Ohlin rear and standard front with the back jacked up to the same height with a verholen arm,e'r sorry thats 4!!!!.

If you put after market shocks on,or with the ones you have on now you can get the same result as Gus or mine by ajusting the Verholen at the back, but you'll find the seat is as high as a GS!!! go through some of the old postings on Yahoo look for Tony Smith.
