Buying Shocks In the US

I'll be in US at end of month and was wondering if I could take advantage of the £/$ rate for shocks.
On Pelican a dealer/member was offering new Ohlin F+R at US$ 1,250 incl. tax. I've requested specs but receieved no feedback yet. Would need a firmer spring weighing in at nearly 110Kg leathered up
Penske no longer supply for BMW. Does anyone know if the Wilbers or any other brand end up being cheaper in US than UK/Europe if they are discretely hand carried back?
Cheers

Hi Julian,
If you want Wilbers (I have them and they are excellent) then contact John Borella
jvborella@snet.net
I bought mine from him in the States, and they are shipped from Germany so you do not pay any import duty, and as you said the dollar/pound exchange you get a lot of suspension for the money.

Yeah I'd probaly be struggling with 4 shock pieces
Might be worth the risk if we can get a good deal, however that US$1250 seems very competitive (depending on spec).

Hi Julian,
The spec is what you want, if you want rebound, hi/low compression, ride height. The shocks are made for you, to your weight, riding style.
Give John an Email for prices. Tell him you are a member of Boxertrix and that I told you about the shocks.
Andrew
