I need someone who has OEM heated to performa small favour please.
Can they tell me where the wires from the switch connect to on the loom please. If you can digipic the bottom connection then so much the better. I've got a project in mind and I'd like to know specifically where these connectors plugin........

Paul,
I'm in the process of retrofitting the factory heated grips to my bike. Mine came with the right hand handlebar kit (i.e. it has the switch in place), but with the standard unheated rubber grips on the bars. I needed to buy a pair of the heated rubber grips (about £100) and then when I tried to fit it I discovered I needed a wiring loom extension (£24) which includes the right hand fuse box podule. The loom extension has three wires trailing off it:
1) connects to a flying 3 conductor plug you will find lurking under the tank
2) has 4 connections for the two wires coming from the 2 heated grips
3) connects somewhere else - presumably to the switch in the RH handlebar kit.
What exactly do you want to know/photograph? I'll have the bike in bits over the weekend to fit the grips, so I'd be happy to take photo's as I go, if you let me know your requirements.
Cheers,
Paul

Sorry Paul - I forgot to look for that heated grip in the wreckage.
As for connectors, podule bits, loom extensions etc I probably have them in the garage somewhere if you need some 2nd hand ones. Might be good to have some photos to identify them though as I still don't have my S back for reference

Thanks Paul appreciate that. if you could pic the connectors that would be great, save some time ferreting. Actually bollox to it, it's cold enough to put grips on now, the other project can wait.
Jason I'll take the appropariate switches and loom extensions/connectors off your hands, let me know how much you want for them pls. If Paul posts the pics of the connectors and mini loom would you be able to grab the matching parts from your salvage please ?
Thanks to both
