Looking to replace the Suspension on the bike as the temporary replacements that I bought are nearly dead also.

Anyone used the Hagon units and are they any good ? I've always bought Ohlins in the past but I'm hearing more and more good things about Hagon. now

That aside is anyone interested in a Group buy of either Ohlins or Hagon shocks ???

Answers on a postcard to the usual address please, well actually just post a reply !

Hagons don't seem to have the overall quality feel of the more recognised brands. You could try WP, mine is great.

Haven't ruled anyone out yet Capn, though the WP appeared more expensive than the Ohlins and had no remote pre-load, which i find useful when taking pillions.

still looking, at Ohlins, Penske, WP, Hagon, Bitubo and Technoflex

Have a chat with Peter (Herrman). He got a pair of Wilbers recently which are basically Technoflex, and pretty damn fine shocks to boot. Superb value aswell.

A friend recently did his and all the research. Hagons described as the Captain suggests. Ohlins tops but the price, even with 10% off for on-line purchase. Wilbers next.
OR, he found E=MC, I think, in France, at about £400 for the pair. He has fitted them and says they are good, but he has not had any to compare them to other than his 50k duff originals.
Anyone else heard of these?
As it happens, I would like a new set too.

I'd love a pair as the originals are rubbish. However, not sure if I can justify the expense at the moment. Tyres need replacing soon!!

I think I may bite on this deal as well, pending which brand/s. The UK S has a Hagon rear and I feels it's a tad undersprung (came with the bike so is probably too light for me) so is not doing as well as I would expect. The body is showing signs of oxidation so long term cosmetics may be an issue. No remote adjustment (C spanner) and the damping requires an allen key.

Pete's Wilbers do look good and he seems to be more than happy with them so I won't be breaking my neck to score a set of Ohlins just yet.

Well had a run to Skye and back yesterday ( Great weather and GREAT run ) unfortunately the shock his spat what was left of it's oil and is now just a big spring ! So I'm afraid I had to order a shock this morning on my own, sorry.

After looking into the pricing by the time you've added on the cost of remote preload and height adjustment the Hagon doesn't work out that much cheaper, and from the posting search that I did on here it doesn't seem that well thought of, so for the extra few quid I've gone for the Ohlins. I really wish that Showa would make their shocks serviceable as it was never the Shock that was the biggest limiting factor for my riding.

Hi Gents

Shocks are just like everything else in this life, you only get what you pay for,i had a Hagon on my much altered FJ and it did the job,but compareing a Hagon to a WP or Ohlin, blimey it's like compareing MU and the team you see in the park on sunday morning!!!!!.

Im off to New York with work on Monday. I wonder if it might be worth picking some up whilst I am there? Anyone got any ideas where I might look for them whilst over there? Been toying with the idea of new shocks for a while now...

It's unlikely that anyone will have such things on the shelf as they are mostly built to order as decent shocks have so many permutations. Might be worth pricing things up out there as the exchange rate is still fairly good.

Price it up and if it's a good deal order it in advance of you going over. But I'm pretty sure that the shock would count as one of the prohibitied items to carried on commercail passenger aircraft, even in the hold.

Mine has just arrived Woo Hoo !!!!!!!!
