I think there were only 3 made so the chance of ever hearing it running are, sadly, slimmer than a slim thing. :(

Another admission.
Actually it's a bike I once owned, that I would love to own again.
Mocked at the time, but quite sought after now.

I know. All it lacked was shaft-drive. :(

Mr. Spock is my role model so be advised; I possess no (discernible) sense of humour.

It's all VFR (DCT) round here now. STILL missing my 1100s tho.

Yes I know that bike well.
The salesman at that shop at the time, Paul who's now left, sourced 5 brand new GTS's from Germany.
3 ABS and 2 non ABS.
They all sold except this one.
This was years ago.
Tony won't budge much on the price, which is way too expensive.
It's a bit of a standing joke in GTS circles.
Not even the most dedicated enthusuast is going to pay that much for one.
There are other things that stop me from getting one, mainly spares availability.
See that front disc ?
Only the GTS was fitted with this disc, which is actually a very elaborate set up.
It's two discs welded together.
Yamaha don't make it anymore, which means once it's worn out, you're off the road because the chances of a second hand one popping up are virtually nil and if one should, you can bet that every GTS owner in the world is going to be fighting over it.
That's just one example.
There are others, which is the reason much as I harbour a desire t own one, I probably never will.
