Just jumped on the band wagon too, and placed order for red/silver 1200s. Had lurked on here and Visordown for a long time, back even before Riceburner had been knocked off his Rockster in Streatham. It has been very helpful. Not Riceburner being knocked off, that would be churlish, but following your experiences of ownership. It is less helpful when you begin to talk about sofas, purple flake metal paint, and RC30's. Still, the question is this - I think I got a good price from the dealer: do I spend the money I saved on list price on a full Akra system and keep the oe in the garage for refitting to the bike on resale, or do I let Sandbar lobby me into an HPE and a hugger? Or leave the oe one on the bike until it goes brown and flaky?

Oh Yes!!
It is what is coming later that makes that decision a good one. And before you ask - my lips are sealed.

What's the point of that?
"Ive got somthing coming but am not going to tell you, so in teh meantime buy somthing elase and be disappointed when my spangly new secret is revealed?"
If it's to do with teh 1200s and in the pipeline for the short term, dont you think you should tell us?

I had a bloody good look at one at the NEC and it seemed OK to me,makes the bike look as it should stock,a little ironic that the 1098 Ducati has gone back to twin cans, but as a certain Ducati dealer said to me people will soon change that!!.
