We're avoiding that conversation at the moment... I'm taking her to Prague next weekend so might broach the subject after a bottle of wine or three one evening. Wish me luck!
Paul,

Just logged in after a couple of weeks away. Sorry to hear about the off, at least you're ok. Good luck with the conversation!!

Paul,
Any news of what is happening with your bike, and hows your motorcycling future looking??

Best Peter.

Paul, just caught onto this topic whilst catching up. Glad to hear it wasn't as damaging personally but sad to hear of the bike getting banged up. As Pete asked, any word on the bikes outcome (and future motorvelocipeding adventures)?

Gents,

Still not heard from the insurers. I'll give them a call today, since they have had the bike for 2.5 weeks now...

Bike is a write off... Need to send in my papers then wait for an offer from aunty Carole. Looks like I need a new bike then.

Gromit, are you bored with your BCR yet...

Sorry to hear that Paul. Another one bites the dust eh!

As for Gromit - he's had that at least a week so it's probably back in the dealer chain by now

I'd be interested in how much they want for the wreck

Jason,

I'll enquire when they send me the engineer's report.

Cheers,

If CAT D, then its likely to be exactly 30% of what they pay out.
I think CAT C, should be a lot less

Looks like mine will be gone tomorrow. Sad about it, but it's killing my back.

I don't know if I got stiffed by someone but when my bike got written off I told them that I wanted to buy the wreck but they had already had it moved to a yard... so I phoned the yard and was told they weren't allowed to release it... then phoned a week or so later and was told that it had already gone.

Missed out on a cheap but very useable wreck I think.... could have kept Jason going for at least another 80k I expect ;)

Sorry mate - looks like the BCR's going to be with me for some time to come. It's ticking pretty much all my biking boxes at the moment.

Clearly a quality machine and highly recommended.

Just buy one. Especially the very rare DDDP model.
