I interpreted Rossi's repeated and demonstrative head turning as a gesture to the world saying "WTF are you up to, pal?" rather than part of lining Marquez up for a decisive kick- he'd have been much more furtive. I suspect it will be a slightly hollow Championship victory for Lorenzo in Valencia and Marquez may not have done his long term career any good. Will sponsors flock to the man that many believe has cost Rossi the Championship? Sad.

Agree with the part about the hollow victory....but that's all!
I don't think Rossi slowed down with the intention of kicking Marquez off but when Marquez leaned on him he just lashed out.
There appears to be a mentality from the "appy" camp that everyone on track should allow VR his 10 title without a contest.
These guys are paid to race and that was happening on track until Rossi threw the towel in, he cracked. With hindsight his press conference and agenda was ill conceived.
If you want a clear track, then qualify on pole.
Possibly emotive blaming MM for VR`s apparent "snatching defeat from the Jaws of victory trick"? VR blew major points in the wet race when he did not pit when his team told him too. He would have been home and dry if he had got on the podium in that race. A championship is over the whole season and boy has Lorenzo had some bad luck on race day when he has consistently been the fastest guy. Everyone on track knows that... claims Dovi.
Marquez, bright, charming and very talented young man.
who will go on to make moto gp the "Spanish World Series". That will not be good either!
Poor, poor appy camp, the pain to see your idol throw the towel in on track and off it.
The notion that MM prevented VR from keeping up with JL is fiction and a business suicide act if you expect riders not contesting the championship to simply roll over.
The best he can hope for is rain in Valencia.
Fiat Panda.
Fiat Scudo (with speedblock, pipe carrier, reversing sensors, reversing camera, tow bar, some new rust and Fake Plumber logo)
started out with nothing, still have most of it left.
The legs will require a lot more articulation though.
Young Marc had best get a move on collecting enough championships to become the next goat. Will he do it before we're watching robots whizz around instead? Like I said. It's depressing.
Edit: decision to be made by next Friday according to bbc sport.
Just in time so he knows whether to qualify or go all out on bike setup.
.....and starting technique!
.....and bribing a few back markers.
just read that. i don't think that he's even bothered whether the penalty gets rejected, but if he can postpone the 3 points until next season he'll get a normal grid slot ( probably 7th knowing him)

+1 0n that analysis.
It's really not that easy to kick another bike over when it's doing 80 mph, all that gyroscopic inertia from the wheels etc.
I don't believe even Rossi is able to stick his leg out exactly to catch another bikes brake lever when cranked over at 80 with the other bike on his outside - in peripheral vision at best .
It's going on all the time anyway, elbows and knees get stuck out to both to make yourself wider and to pre-empt any contact from your competitor: ie it's natural and almost essential to lean back against the other bike to avoid being pushed off yourself.
No I think the penalty was too harsh and Marques carries some blame too.

Really? Apparently all it takes is a foot to be knocked off the footrest to cause a bike to crash!
DT
No it isn't, bikes just want to go straight , it's why they're hard to turn.
The gyroscopic action would give Marques and his bike much more inertia than the 200 kg they weigh stationary.
At least that's how I understand it , I could well be wrong?
Also if Rossi pushed Marques the exact same force ( opposite direction ) would have operated on his bike too wouldn't it ?
A lot of different factors at work admittedly but Rossi might well have crashed too.
