I did a lot of miles in a Toyota Prius and would rate it as a means of transport.

Would I buy one to have an enjoyable European road trip, though... No!

And, unfortunately, that's exactly where the Divvy 9 sits in the biking world.

Dull but worthy transport.

Which is exactly what the VFR is,
as dull as a dull thing can be and don't try and tell me otherwise because I did about 15 miles on a dealers demo.

Mr. Spock is my role model so be advised; I possess no (discernible) sense of humour.

It's all VFR (DCT) round here now. STILL missing my 1100s tho.

So the decision has been made... I've spent £1250 on a 900 divvy, not just any divvy but the bikesnbones posted... Its been a tuff decision but I do believe its the right one for me. The bike is better than the pics show and only 2 previous owners, Full service history, all mots and all service receipts, books, tool kit and manuals, new rear tyre, data tagged, accessory socket...

The thought of the r1100 being fooooooked with was to much to contemplate, divvy gets knicked in Russia it would be unfortunate BM that would be devastating! The divvy should do the job time will tell. Also I can happily use it on sunny winter days and not worry to much what the salt is doing!

So many thanks for all your input and the, roll on the holidays.

Thanks once again regards Marsh
er, mmmmm I'll think of something funny soon.

Well done,
The Divvy 900 is a sound used buy, and you got a three piece luggage set with yours, which would have cost someone at least £500 at some stage.
I'm chuffed you got the one I found

Hiya Mate, route will roughly be...

Hull - Rotterdam if money allows, great overnight ferry good food, sleep ,8am and your on your way, like this route lots
Through Holland - Germany - Poland - Latvia - Lithuania - Estonia- Russia including Moscow and St Petersburg then on to Finland - Sweden - Norway - Sweden - Denmark - Germany - Belgum - France and back to sunny Crewe.

Looked at doing this for years, gotta be done and I'm not getting any younger!
