Ok. I think I have found a route forward. I don't fully understand the process, but BT have 2 sport channels on Freeview 58 and 59.

If you are a BT broadband customer, think if you buy a BT vision box, for a 1 time fee of £10 you can get the sport channels decoded on freeview. Voila, MotoGP on the telly.
