Very nice feeling rolling the throttle on now, as it should be IMO.

Sounds incredible  Can you let us know how the fuel consumption works out over the next few weeks?

I would really like to subject my R1200ST (aka the Black Beast) to this treatment but its a long way from Scotland to Hilltop.

Intial MPG is about 3MPG improvment according to the OBC.

Once I've done a few tankfulls I'll know what it's really doing tho the winter usually drops it a bit anyway.

I can see the problem there. Your going to have to stop far to many times on the way back to relax your (facial) cheek muscules :D

An update on this for those that asked about MPG.

Due to my addiction to winding on the throttle, I seem to have a average 10% increase in fuel used per mile and less miles from a rear tyre.

I note that when I'm behind a slow associate that the fuel consumption does decrease giving more MPG, so I suspect it's not the new maps fault but rather my throttle hands fault

I wouldn't go back mind.
Bikes on 80,000 miles now as well, going better than it ever has.
