Well I went today.
Thank god I didn't go on the R1200s
Decided to take my XJR1300 instead as its a bit more comfy for lazy rides.
8.15am - set off from my house.
8.16am - me and bike laid out in the gutter.
8.20am - having settled myself, dusted myself down and given bike a quick once over I decide to try again.
8.21am - bike going round in circles. Wheels pointing in opposite directions.
11.25am - get to show, park car. First purchase - some crash bungs for the XJR...
That HP2 looked well good as did the RC8 - was surprised at how good that XR1200 was on the Harley stand - XJR may be up for sale soon - one careful owner...the bloke I bought it from!!![/i]

Got my first xmas prezzie

Julie bought me a garmin zumo 550 at £399.50 plus £50 cashback from garmin (eventually,4 to 6 weeks before the cheque arrives apparently)
so i treated myself to an interphone headset.
f650gs and f800gs look great, as does the new tenere, but for me the star of the show was the triumph thruxton "this is what we should have done with it" special

if they sold it in this spec, I would deffo own one by now!

Which day were you up there, Steve? I was up there Saturday. I doubt that I would have seen you mind as I lost contact with the two mates I went with for about 3 hours! The accessories halls seemed to go on for ever. I agree, though, the Triumph Scrambler did look good. The star from me was definitely the KTM RC8.

Good pics Steve - it was quiet when you were there!!!!!!!!!!! Must have heard you were coming

You got a heck of deal on the Zumo too - nice one.
Here's some I borrowed - it does look special. I think it'd make the HP2 look cheap though.

Yeah, that Thruxton is the nuts! It was my favourite too. I didn't see the rugged one but I'd like one of those too.

Yeah, a great deal, but available to anyone, no haggling involved, from Autocom. And it has next years maps already installed
I got a great deal on the interphone too, but it's classified I'm afraid, they don't want anyone to know just how big their profit margin is (huge)
Nice pics too.

Well i went 3 times in the end!!!,bikes, clothes what ever, but who hell uses the organised holiday mob?? and prices jesus.
Best prize for tat, J+S,and a couple of others, but hang on a minute there were always lots pf people buying off e'm!!!
Best bike, blimey i like my bikes a little more practical than the majority that were on show,no wonder BM sell so many GS's,good old Triumph have managed to make a real cockup with the new Tiger, all the right parts but!!!
impractical i'll take Ducati's GP bike with lights on,trouble being even at £40,000 the queue is outtasight!!!
Do BM have a marketing division??,no 1100s replacement, bring out the R1200s, all but put the block on that, and then the HP2 (i bet Ducati sell more Moto GP reps tham BM sell HP2's),launched K1200Rs last year and discontinued it already,if their trying put the punters off then their doing a bloody good job
Although i have to say only excided by good old Mr H,no new VFR when the market is screaming blue murder for one,and discontinued the B/B,amazeing.

The numbers sold (for both bikes) will be directly related to the production figure that in both cases has already been decided.
Anything after that will be something different.
