In which case he may well win. (In defence of R1200ST's. Most people who deride them for their looks have never ridden one). Lets face it no factory BMW has ever been a real looker. Look at the fuss that the Beak caused when it first appeared on a GS

I read the motomatters article this morning over breakfast, by coincidence. I use that website for news a lot. A good article, in depth. I feel he's being a lenient on Marquez though!
One thing you can say. Up to the point of the incident the riding from both riders was stunning. After the incident it got boring. Basically what GP had got to be like prior to Marquez coming along.

Webb's statement is saying that, essentially, Marquez received no penalty because there wasn't any contact in his manoeuvres.
Er, ........
If Marquez's bike didn't touch Rossi in "the incident" then you'd need a thou feeler gauge to prove it.

There's an online petition signed, so far, by 350,000 people objecting at the ruling against Rossi.

As 3 of the 4 "aliens" have come out of this not smelling of roses - only Dani.
If Jorge Lorenzo offered to start alongside Rossi from the back row in Valencia....
Not only would he regain much of the lost respect for himself, the two Hondas would be up at the front and out of the way and it would shut Rossi up.
So then the championship would be fairly decided between the two Yamaha riders and sportsmanship would be returned to Moto GP.

Now that would be the punishment that MM has not yet received - no bike and no money to pay his salary for next season.
Can't see it happening though..... Spanish rider, Spanish sponsor, Spanish Series organiser (Dorna), Spanish CEO of the FIM, Spanish last round, Lorenzo Spanish, Pedrosa Spanish.

What did repsol have to say over the string of "dirty" ....ok, inconsiderate...manoeuvres Marc has pulled off?
Luthi pushed off track. The incident when he ploughed into someone after practice session, can't remember who. To name only two. There have been many more although his time in moto GP, when he's had the bike to see any challengers off, hasn't been too bad... Till now.
I assume repsol have factored in how many Rossi sympathisers use repsol products? They must calculate not that many.
If they're using the moral high ground they should be careful where their kid is concerned. He ain't no angel.

I tend to agree Steve, Marquez knew he was going to be pushed wide, which is a bit naughty I agree but at any time he could have backed off and cut inside, Rossi`s leg did not move until Marquez touched his head on his knee, and as Reg said Rossi is not strong enough or has enough leverage to push the bike over. As for Argentina, again Marquez could(should) have backed off as Rossi had the line even though Marquez`s lunge inside had pushed him out.
