My grandfather fairly recently gave me the same model watch as the original poster. I adore it.

It's a 1967 model, with the original box and paperwork. I absolutely treasure it. He wore it just about every day of his life. One day I hope to pass it on to someone in my family too.

Personally I do not adorn my self with bling, I leave that to the doormen, scaffolders, off shore workers and travelling tarmac drive layers.

Any which way you like the best time piece ever came out of YORKSHIRE stand up John Harrison . Would not mind one of his chronometers in my bedroom

I like my Boschett Cavedweller for .................. (not sure what I like about it - it weighs 345g, but is built like a brick sh*thouse :) )

A nice watch, which should give years of enjoyment.

I sold one of my Rolex - an unworn Submariner, from 2012. Made £800 profit on it :D

If you are considering buying an expensive watch:

Rolex, Breitling, Omega, IWC, Patek (not the curry paste! :? ) etc.....

then consider buying at Amsterdam Airport. There are considerable savings to make, and there is no import duties or restrictions - to the UK.

Reckon on saving about 15% on some.
