It was,nt an answer to your original question, I have already replied to that. It was just an observation partly based on one of your quotes and a little extra to throw into the pot. Sometimes threads do drift off topic a little its no big deal.

All of HIS topics drift of thread because he engineers it, I`m with Herb, but sometimes you just cannot help yourself and reply anyway. but not anymore.
Pity he didn`t feel he could take the opprtunity to actually speak to some of us two weeks ago, obviously rather do it from behind a keyboard.

Absolute rubbish.
Show me exactly how I have done that on this thread.
Oh and if you are going to accuse me of hiding behind a keyboard, PM me and let's have a chat about that.
Look forward to hearing from you

To answer the original question.
eeerrrrrmmmm! Nope, it's never crossed my mind. At times, I've been wet, cold, miserable and in agony with backache (on a bike that was too upright for me - I prefer a sporty position - oooo err missus).
But give up? Couldn't do it... It's what makes me feel alive.
Actually, I guess that doesn't answer the question now I read it again. Because I have never thought about packing it in.
Thinking of everthing that ends in ing

Errrr, wots all fuss abhat` like? ask a question, get an opinion then be unpolite in a serious context?
I think about lots of things that I would like to jack, something I started many years ago and still happily practise (less often

) does not mean I do not have an opinion

So let me ask a question, in the context of an opinion you gave earlier.

Chances are you will look a bloody pillock and not half as cool as the dude in the open top convertible with a smug smile on his fizzogg.
.
Now I can't speak for everyone here, but I don't ride thinking I look cool.
Never enters my head.
What about you ?

1. I packed it in once when I was out of work and broke.
2. I could never look cool even if I was stuck in a freezer.

Please grow up.
Its not the first time you've pulled the 'come and have a go' card. It's juvenile and there is no place for it here.
You seem intent on turning things into a pissing contest when someone has a different opinion. It mystifies me every time you do it, this is why many think you are a troll, this is why Al made his observation about not meeting up.
If we use the oft quoted pub analogy, you have walked into a pub, started chatting to a group, told many of them they are wrong, not a worthy as you and made veiled threats, once the conversation starts to go off topic/against you.
All things considered, I would seriously consider whether this is the right forum for you. No one here has anything to prove. Its just waffling about bikes on the internet.

Okay - Quiz night....................
Can anyone remember the last time we had a forum member, who had this many posts - who had a completely blank profile, and told the forum nothing about themselves?
Answers on a postcard- please.
Al

Ok, I can't keep it in any longer. It's time to out.
I am that model.
There I've said it now.
So I do look cool.
Hope that settles things down a bit.
