Not sure if I would go quite so far in condemning inline-japfours, but I will admit that if I was only allowed one bike - it would probably be the R1100s, or R1200s (prob the latterslparry wrote:funnily enough I can recall saying the same .... although it started with "there's no way I'd ever own a BMW"
Then I bought a K100RS (well 5 of them from the mid 80's onwards to be precise) .... and changed to "there's no way I'd buy a boxer"
Then I bought my BoxerCup .... and my Uncles R80 .... and a couple of Funduros ... not forgetting the cars
Thing is every time I ride something Japanese nowadays I get bored. The ZX12R was stupendously fast but I got bored of it. The DRz400 was stupendously uncomfortable, but wonderfully able off road but I got bored of it. Perhaps I just don't "get" the raison d'etre of them anymore

If you are riding in snow, you should stay out of 1st gear, use engine braking rather than wheel-braking, stay "loose" on the bike, avoiding large throttle inputs and keeping your visor clear........
If after 10 minutes, everything is going okay.......................
