I've thought about it too Andy. Hardly rode at all last year but managed a fair bit more this year and ended up loving the bike again. You sounded like you were ready to pack in before you bought the GS. I'm in the process of building a new mountain bike and just hope I managed to fit the exercising and the motorcycling into my life. If there's a Boxertrix meet near a good cycling area come along and bring a bike - Glentress is just along the road from Moffat!

It would be sad to hear that somene is in turmoil, but if the decision is made .... then that is good.

Move on, hopefully with happy memories.

We all have these decisions to make. Riding a bike is a risky activity ..... always has been.

You make a decision, based on where you are in your life. Young children ... a decision. Split up with your wife ..... a decision. Sharing the experience with someone you love ...... a decision.

For me ..... I feel defined by my relationship with the people close to me, and bikes are a big part of me. If the bikes fit with the people close to me then life gets even better.

Things do happen. My brother died in a Mini. That didn't put me off Mini's. Bad stuff happens.

It's up to the individual to decide what is important moving forward.

yes not constructive and not helpful but it was witty, (so was the repost) no disrespect to any ones choice but thats all it is a choice :?: I was wondering if the real reason for Stoneys choice was that his bmi had gone down so much he can not lift his gs off the centre stand

Good luck to the Stoney Mob :!:

Dai, body mass index. as one of the more mature members, don`t worry about it, from his posts stoney is probably a lean mean running machine. most people would get on a bike to travel the distance he runs :D.

Stoney as has been said before, your life, your family, your decision and thats all that counts, and you are still eligible for the Boxertrix fantasy league next year if I organise it.

All the best, Al.

Understand where you're coming from. I did more miles on my bicycles than I did on my motorbike this year, although a week in Scotland made the m'bike worth keeping. Its paid for and does not cost too much.

The wife does keep looking at it though and wondering if its worth about the same as a new bathroom.

'no dear, its very old now, can barely give these things away' (which is not that far from the truth)
