Me too. Its a sort of stripped back Le Mans, in my opinion still one of the most beautiful looking stock bikes made....timeless elegance mmmm.dave the german wrote:love that guzzi!!
If you want to see one in the flesh then head over to Wollaston BMW in Northampton. There is one on display by the service desk.bikesnbones wrote:Very disappointing.
I was led to believe we were going to get a modern take on the R90S, as per the Sands concept build.
The price I read is 16,000 Euro's
I'd buy a used R1200R and kit it out thus. and end up spending half what this costs.

Pictures? Plans?Corvus wrote:popsky wrote:My mate of the time had a Super Dream, it holds no fond memories for me but at the same time I had a CB250 rs which was a great bike,...........
Just bought one.
Yes I did. The custom link of bikes and skate boarding, bmx etc is bringing the younger people into bikes at present. A very good thing in my opinion, and its anything goes bike wise from 125,s up with Jap, German, Italian bikes being customised and importantly ridden. That meet/show looked cool, I,d sure like to attend the next one assuming it will be next spring.Corvus wrote:Agreed. Timeless.cornishflat wrote:Me too. Did you see the MCN article on the bike shed this week? Over 4000 visitors! We can safely say there is a strong interest in the cafe racer/custom scene.
Plans are to shed as much weight as I can think of. Looks? Open ended, but not cafe racer. Will have renthal low's or similar, fancy exhaust, small headlight. Just really stripped back. Been looking around for alternative tanks, but I have a shape in my head which doesn't actually exist! Maybe a basic shape ally tank with a glass fibre cover? The bike catalogued at 133kg so was already a pretty light bike.Herb wrote:Pictures? I had a CBX250-RS.
Great bike, but rare, expensive and fragile. I would live to buy another as a project but parts are hard to find.
I fancy a GN400 single as a cafe racer myself. Someone here once posted a picture of a really stunning one.

The sr400 is in the 2014 eu line up! Built to customize. Sound familiar in these circles?
Check out the yard build category.
