Seriously, that's a great job.

Weh hey - that's she who must be obeyed my dear wife Anita, who incidentally is the reason the bike looks like it does today...... we were driving along one day, when a Ford Focus in this 'Asbo Orange' came the other way & the wife said "you bike would look good painted that colour" well I took about a nano second to think about it - then set about making it happen.

Here's to the wife :occasion5:

Thanks for that - yes it was Silver, I did like it before, but now it would take an obscene amount of money to prise it from my grasp, I couldn't really be happier.

Many thanks Gentlemen - I must confess I was expecting some negative comments, but I am glad you all like it (so far).

Looks spot on, the paint seems to have a nice thick lustre and looks quality. Who did it and how much did it cost?

Hi Rob,

Thanks for that - it is actually a semi perlescent paint that really comes alive in the sun light & looks fantastic.

It was done by a customer of mine: Flamingo Autos in Worksop, Nott's 01909 478669. Gaz was the guy who actually did the painting, & I think he's done an excellent job.

The cost is a bit difficult to pin down because there were a couple of jobs involved & a favour or 2, but I guess if it were for the 'man on the street' it would probably work out at around £750 including the wheels.

Regards Neil.

Aha - The Flying Tangerine!

How do you get on with the ABS? I hated the ABS on my old 1100s.

Lol - Very good.

I haven't had any issues with the ABS as yet - it has 'deployed' a couple of times, but I can't say it would have been dangerous without it, because I was quite used to the CBR600 before this that I could lock the back wheel on easily when riding 'spirited'.

Regards Neil.
