Every bloody morning the din would start at about 4.30am(we were about 50 yards from the course) all the loonies out on the course, although i have to point out the bit that kills e'm all is bit from Bradden to Ramsey or was that Yamsey!!!,how the riders remember it god knows.

There was a radio program hosted by Charlie Williams in the morning they would have a copper on telling what had gone on the previous day,two bikers ended up critical, at Laxey of all places going in the same direction, found out after they were both on the otherside of the road and hit a lorry head on!!,he was saying they scraped a lad up who was out on the mountain riding in just jeans completey lost his knee, and they put 3 and 1/2 pints of blood into him!!!!

That's excellent, looks just like the onboard footage from the race bikes :D

Sounds like everyone had a good time. We got back last Monday. It was our first trip and we throughly enjoyed it. Staying self-catering we managed to avoid over-dosing on burgers

As Winger mentioned the biggest danger was from other tw*ts out there on motorbikes! Spent half the time watching my mirrors, and we just escaped getting scooped-up on a blind bend when travelling the course the other way.

Saw plenty of 1100S's and most waved, though only came across 3-4 1200S's. Pointed a few people enquiring about the bike in the direction of Boxertix. The most interesing bike I saw was a red BM; seemed to be based on a RS1100, had the top-half of a Ducati 998 fairing crafted onto the front, conventional forks, 2 into exhaust ending in CF silencers, with a Dutch reg. Looked quite sporty.

Regards Bob
