Wow, that loks nice painted - you'd have thought they'd keep the front wheel blue though :?

You're right about the ST though

And that has to be one of the ugliest bikes ever

It is .... but, and I hate to say this (again), that fairing does an excellent job. While doin' 150 mph on an R1200S is quiete hard work, on the ST it's really easy to keep it up for hours.

150mph on an ST :?:

As soon as the MRA screens for the 12s are released it'll be happy days!

And the rest!!!

If someone offers you an HP for £12K - then rip their arms out at the socket.

I hate to say it, but the front with those air intakes do remind me of the R1200ST styling ..... but in better proportion.

Glad I'm not the only one who thought that.

The lights looks a bit pants but apart from that it looks rather tasty, hell, purposeful even. Not Jap-generic (like the 1098 is - although still rather pretty) which has to be a good thing.

I reckon it'll be £14,495 ;)

Being a fan of the ST  I have to say I like the new bike but I'm with Geordie boy on this one. Why pay £13K+ for a bike that you'll be scrating around in four years time replacing rusty bolts and corroded alloy and repainting dodgy paintwork. IMHO BMW need to wake up and spend a bit more time in the factory getting to grips with their finishing problems.
After all, BMW are supposed to be a prestigious marque but when you look at a dealership forecourt at their 3-4 year old trade ins, you think your at a scrap yard!. Lots of biker mates have commented on this subject and I must say its the biggest put off for most of them trying the boxer experience for themselves.

Cheers Cobbster.

When I spoke to Jeffries a couple of months ago about the HP, they stated 14-15K

Now thats too much

12K Id order one right now

Jeffries also reckoned there would be no engine tune above standard

Any idea what that strange red bracket at the back is? Surely its not a number plate hanger?
