Thanks for posting the pics for me Andy.The base frame that sits on the bike subframe is made of aluminium and was welded for me by a local guy.(excellent welder).The top and front was then cut from 3mm steel by a local steel supplier and the box section used to space out the givi fixture is 11/4" inch box section.Again welded by a mate from work.I found all the foam at work(saved from the bin).Like ive said cost only about£50 and hopefully will be ok.Hope this may be of use to someone.

Well it looks a bit overengineered to me - but call it a prototype and it looks pretty darn good. It's given me an idea though so no seat butchering just yet.

I cant deny its over engineered but i figure its better to be safe than sorry when your miles from home!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ron, Do you know which tank bag/connection system is on this bike? it looks like the sw motech tank ring thingy, but I can't find it on their site.
