"Power-to-weight ratio" would have some relevance if this thing had any weight - in fact it's remarkably light. When you open the throttle on a Boxer, you bend it to your will; when you open the throttle on this thing the first couple of times, all you can think is "Que puta madre!" as you rupture your Adam's apple! Somewhere in the first few miles you realise how smooth the engine is, how you can't rely on engine-braking, and how you don't need to work the box (once I was on the move I scarcely needed to shift below 4th).
The Laser made a lovely sound. I could get used to riding one of these.
