I'm sorry, lets just hope you get it back in one piece - a 12S is such "rare" bike it make you wonder what they wanted it for. Not the obvious choice for a track bike (were a lot of stolen bikes end up) keep an eye out on FleaBay if any parts turn up we can "have a look" was it Datataged? - make you wonder if the cost of a tracker is worth it

I too hope it comes back in one piece, because it is such a nice-looking machine. But I fear the best we can do is keep our eyes peeled for anyone offering hooky parts.

My suggestion is that the Police should visit all local breakers, and hope they get to it before anyone takes a spanner to it..

just spoke to paul on the land line.he says the plod have been really good,it appears that in the sticks they have the time and inclination to examine all the avenues open to them.he certainly sounds gutted though.

If you've been targeted they'll defenitely be back,if not them,their mates,i was like so many others thought it would never happen to me,the options are both simple and straight forward,buy a garden shed alarm they cost peanuts the odd spider will wake you up in the middle of the night and give you a heart attack but their easy to fit,but for me the big difference is CCTV,you can buy a colour camera and 15meters of wire just about anywhere for £30 and a TV/Video recorder for 60/70 quid,the bad news,you'll become paranoid about security and it doesnt wear off i'm afraid.

I've never had a bike or anything similar stolen, but would agree 100% with Winger about the CCTV camera. I had loads of bother when I landscaped my front gardens with damage to and theft of plants/trees etc.

Tried all sorts, including getting a grip of a few of the teenage tossers, but as soon as I put a camera up, job sorted.

Well worth the £100 or so it costs.

Just yesterday I was looking in Bass Junkies for a new ICE for the motor. I noticed that they were approved Tracker fitting agents and it made me think again about getting one fitted to the bike. I had to get one fitted to the car, otherwise I couldn't get reasonable insurance for it, so I know it isn't cheap.
The bike is ''only'' worth £3500 so I'm still undecided. Whilst it may be replaced, if stolen, by the insurance company (Carol Nash) I would be left feeling that justice hasn't been done.
A tracker should catch the scum, but this is where my faith in the system makes me think that my money would be better spent down the local bordello. If only the tracker information came to me and only me..................
Until the courts hand out meaningful sentences then these thefts will not stop. Sounds like this was a professional career thief. Hope he is caught.

That really is a sickener, Hope someone gets what is coming to them very soon!! Many years ago went back to where the bike had been parked at Mallory to find an empty space so I do have an inkling of how you feel. Hope you get sorted out soon.

I know this'll sound naff and weedy, but I just remembered I had a CZ 175 stolen one Christmas morning from outside my girlfriend's house. Even that was a gutting experience. I truly sympathise.
