Another one on the road to a 1200?
Yep, been through all the "what if"s; not so much induced by my own injuries but by the sorry look of the bike when I went to reclaim some bits.
As for the 1200... well, if I wasn't dumping all my money into the new house that might be more likely. Thinking maybe I'd be safer with a GS, though, bike might survive the off road jaunts a bit better.

Any good bits before the assessor comes along and decides to take it away?

Well, Norwich Union got back to me: total loss.
So, looks like I'll be searching for something new/different. Maybe with my offroad jaunt I should be looking at a GS?
This is the point the regrets and "what if"s are really starting to kick in. Thanks to a few of you here, I'd just managed to get the bike the way I wanted it. Thankfully, I hadn't forked out for a set of better shocks, but the loss of the Galfer disks is very annoying (albeit I still have the rear one, as I didn't get around to fitting it).
Ah well, what can you do?
Well, not crash, I guess.

That's right. Chin up mate. I like the R12S or even the new Fazer in the candy red colour.

I thinks there are loads of options, the problem being this ain't the time of year to buy a bike, cuz if you don't pay the price the next man!!!.

Exactly about the bloody prices.
I cant find a 12s anywhere at even teh right spec and two dealers say they arent making any more until last years stock sold, so Im buggerred unless i find a good one second hand.
For someone 6'4 like me what's out there that will fit? I cant think of much.
Not that I'm giving up on my s turning up, just being realistic
